Ebbz and Flowzzzz's 2011 Albums of the Year: Honorable Mention

2011 has been an interesting year in music-- an overwhelming amount of new material was released, bands such as LCD Soundsystem, R.E.M., and The White Stripes called it quits, the world was introduced to internet sensations such as Odd Future and Lana Del Rey, R&B, saxophones and soft rock became cool again, The Flaming Lips made a song 24 hours long and put music into a gummy fetus, and the future of online music was drastically altered with the launching of Spotify.

Looking back on the year, I ask myself, what will we remember?  Will it be the great music released (see below), the best stories (gummy fetus!), the losses (Amy Winehouse, Steve Jobs, Gil Scott-Heron), or, will it simply be remembered as the year that Lou Reed and Metallica collaborated to create the worst collection of music ever recorded with Lulu?

Although the albums below didn't quite make the top 50 list which will come out tomorrow, these albums should be given a few more listens before we head in to 2012.

Thanks everyone for reading.
